A New Chapter: The Tiny Big Joys Book
While we work on the future of the podcast behind the scenes, I am putting the final touches on a project that I have worked for a long time now.
On June 23, we are officially launching The Tiny Big Joys - Pregnancy & Birth: Questions from new parents like you
For most of my life, I was absolutely terrified of the idea of giving birth. But when I finally took the time to understand what actually happens to our bodies, and realised how much I could do myself to actively influence the experience, everything shifted for me. Going through that personal transformation completely changed my perspective, and it's the exact reason I wanted to write this book.
In this book, I share parts of my own journey that I’ve never spoken about publicly before, alongside the most loved conversations with midwives, birth professionals, and experts from our original podcast series in Finland.
My absolute favorite part to write was the section on the different stages of birth. After giving birth to my daughter, looking back at the mechanics of what actually happens made so much sense to me. Honestly, just thinking about it now makes me want to give birth again, simply because I know I would be so much more prepared for it this time around.
Whether you are currently expecting your first baby, or you’ve already given birth and just want to reflect on your own experience, this book was written to leave you feeling more informed and more connected to your own inner strength. You don't need to know everything to step into birth with confidence. You just need trusted information and the space to find your own way.
